Police have thought the photograph to be a hoax, and with growing sightings reported on social media an attempt by unknown parties to create a city folklore. Baton Rouge | Dozens of sinkholes have been collapsing above massive earth caverns under the city of New Orleans resulting in eyewitness accounts of strange moving blobs seen at near the aging French Quarter, a baffling discovery admit senior geologists from the Louisiana USGS offices. The geologists that were investigating earth massive sinkholes events starting on June 8th around the city of New Orleans were astonished to receive reports the of 15 sightings around 18 different sinkholes over an area of several miles. Several motion detectors placed around the earth mounds by a private company photographed strange phenomenon revealed by infrared technology by June 12th after local residents saw slightly human sized blobs moving about with intelligent awareness near one such mound downtown. "It was astonishing to see what I saw," said Linda Yarema, a nursing assistant at Bellup Hospital near the French Quarter. "It seems to shimmer with a green hue, like being out of focus, and moved like a large gelatinous mass really fast, crossing Royal Street. Before I could get another picture with my cell phone, it moved into a dark alley." Over four successive nights dozens of the most strange blob sightings hit New Orleans. Beginning June 8th, some dozen shaft areas approximately 30ft wide and 100ft deep collapsed, swallowing two factory and four warehouses, where the strange sightings were reported and seen by 15 people. In preparation for assistance if the events had grown wider, the National Guard was contacted to coordinate with local police as the investigation progressed to provide equipment and personnel. Major Tom Barrows, lead for the Guard response, receives reports from New Orleans police as the emergency progressed. During the next evening, USGS geologists dispatched to the sites indicated the sinkholes were not natural in origin, having expected broken pipes or water drainage issues caused by human ground pumping or construction. Careful inspection with remote cameras and night vision equipment dropped one mile down indicated the possibility of large underground caverns and fissures, with narrow tunnels rising to the surface terminating at the sinkhole entrances. Some gases were detected. With quick movement the work crews fenced and isolated the sinkholes from the public. "We are completely baffled by the enigma of these formations. Below the sinkhole floors there seems to have been some form of tunneling from below to reach the surface," said Senior USGS Geologist Adam Braun, from the state capital office. "Whether it was gases, water or some unknown element, we will not know until more investigation is done." Officials reported New Orleans city engineers were undergoing the work of inspecting the dozen sinkholes in various neighborhoods of the city, and several more were barricaded and filled in by work crews during the night. Damage assessments were conducted of several affected commercial properties by city building inspectors, and reports indicate portions will require an immediate demolition for unsafe structures. As reports come into the New Orleans Police Department, city crews work to close off the abruptly appearing sinkholes thorough the city. Here several commercial buildings were affected by the puzzling enigma that ended on June 12th. PhD Richard Tanner, head of the Historical Occult Studies Department at Bourne University, believes these blob sightings could be linked to the Book of Gates and Jebidiah Smith, that describes what he called the creatures of Annaheg who lived hundreds of miles below the Earth's surface. “There are writings on this subject from the Book of Gates that mentions great tunnels dug to the Earth's surface, where the Annaheg dwelled in the crystal formations of the deep fissures of the Earth. They were the 'root' of the smaller things- bacteria, antibodies-that would burn men to ashes when they were consumed. They were said to have given the Prophet Izal the Book of Gate's source stone tablets during the Eemian Caspian, which was quiet similar to the Biblical account of Moses and the Burning Bush and the Ten Commandments” explained the scholar. “Even though this is but a legend, it is still mystifying how and why the people that live now are seeing these creatures making themselves known up here” he admits, visibly puzzled.
